I guess it's Beyonce Day on this blog.
Looks like she'll be on the cover of next month's ELLE magazine. The cover on the left with the painted on dress and bow is the newsstand cover while subscribers like me get Sasha Fierce on the right.
Personally, I prefer the subscriber cover, at least boring old ELLE made an effort there to make it a little edgier and I'm always in full support of clean covers that don't feature models being squeezed to death between twin columns of font madness.
If you're interested in reading the Beyonce article follow this link. They're calling it The Liberation of B. which I guess is sort of like The Emancipation of Mimi but without the butterflies and bottomless bottles of Pinto Gris.

Oh dear, I'm not crazy about the Sasha Fierce cover. Poor B looks like she's suffering from some gastrointestinal disorder.
I like the Sasha Fierce cover. I am not, however, excited by the Sasha Fierce character. Poor dear Beyonce, two personalities and still dull as a rock. Just make good pop tunes. That's all I ask. I will not be falling under the illusion that you are an interesting person anytime soon.
She's also on the elle canada issue they only did a face shot.
I don''t really like either of these ones for some reason.
I don't like either cover, but if I had to choose, the one on the left would get my marginal vote, mainly because I like the color and style of the dress.
I like the Sasha Fierce cover too. She looks like she's headlining at the Thunderdome.
The Sasha Fierce cover looks terrible. Bad makeup and her hair resembles a mullet in my opinion. I don't care for the expression on her face either. I know Beyonce is a huge pop star and all, but is it too much to ask for the media to focus on a different woman of color? Can we see someone else besides her and Rihanna on the cover of fashion magazines?
Also, I second what another commenter stated about Sasha Fierce. What is the point exactly of having two personalities? It is all the same music Beyonce has been making for years anyway. I'm sure you can tell by now that I am not a fan.
I love both covers, I love 'em. Both Beyonce and Sasha Fierce are rockin those covers.
Beyonce continue to prove her naysayers wrong. Work it out!

oh and Brigitte, "boring Elle" is selling more magazines than Vogue. This issue will be no exception because all the Beyonce fans, like myself, and haters alike will be buying this issue like crazy.
@oh and Brigitte, "boring Elle" is selling more magazines than Vogue.
I have subscriptions to both and honestly, I prefer ELLE over Vogue. That doesn't stop me from thinking that the last several issues have been pretty boring.
I like Beyonce, she's lovely and puts out great singles but I also agree that she's a little devoid of personality, especially when interviewed. That's not really a bad things since I appreciate that she avoids oversharing about her personal life like some other celebs but I have to agree with Camille, if someone doesn't really seem comfortable showing their true personality, selling an alter-ego is tough.
Sigh. I love Beyonce, but I just want her to go away for awhile . . . you know . . . like J. Lo.
