Off-topic post: Sisterlocks

After three days and 24 total hours of tugging on my scalp, I finally have Sisterlocks. My head is killing me. I am so happy the ordeal is over because I was really really tired of wearing my hair in an oversized  afro puff.

ETA: I'll post more information about my hair soon. This is my third set of locs in nearly 10 years and will hopefully be my last:)

You really have to devote a whole post to this. Off topic or not. Do it for those of us considering Sisterlocks @ some point!

My friend recently did the same. She says she loves it so far, so I'm sure you will be happy about your decision.
She is about 3 months in and had about 1 inch hair length when she started.
Girl I'm natural myself and love locs but somehow i haven't committed to it after thinking about it for like ... 4 years lol

Ditto. I've seen sisters with hair like this and always wondered whether this style of locking works only for certain hair types. For example if you have fine hair would this be a suitable style?

Very interesting. Please cover other locking methods. I've heard locks can be crocheted.

Wow, congrats! Since I went natural in June, the only time I considered locs was when I saw pics of Sisterlocks. Definitely keep us updated!

And pictures!!

I love reading natural hair post. It is so inspiring for me, and keeps me going with my own natural hair!

I have devoted a website to natural hair care.

Lol...people love talking about hair. I've never been brave enough to commit to locs (or a relaxer), but congrats and enjoy. I know people who've started with sisterlocks, and they've had nothing but good words for them.I'm sure they look beautiful.
